Know the price on the plumbing jobs that cost the most

The plumbing bills that worry people most are the big ones: a sewer line, a water line, the pipes inside the walls. That's what this page covers: a free estimate on the big jobs, a 5-year warranty on four named jobs, and a straight answer on price for everything else.

  • A big job on the way, and no idea what it will cost.
  • A fix you already paid for, failing again.
  • A bill that climbs once the work is underway.

Free estimates

Which plumbing jobs get a free estimate?

The big ones: a water repipe, a reroute, a sewer replacement, and a water line replacement. Those are priced per job, and the estimate costs nothing. Repairs and other simple service are billed by the hour, and the first thing you pay for is finding the cause.

How a job gets priced: by the hour, or by the job

Every job starts with finding out what's wrong, because the price depends on it.

By the hour. Repairs and other simple service, at the hourly rate.

By the job. A water repipe or a reroute, a sewer replacement, and a water line replacement or reroute. We see the job first, then give you one price for all of it.

Why big jobs get one price. A big job is easier to plan around with one number than with a clock running.

Not sure which yours is? Ask when you call, and we'll tell you how it's priced.

For what each big job involves, see repiping, sewer line repair and replacement, and water line repair and replacement.

What our free estimates and warranty include

  1. 01

Call and get on the schedule.

  2. 02

A licensed tech finds what the job really needs.

  3. 03

You get the real number before the work starts.

What's included

  • A free estimate on a water, drain, or gas repipe, or a reroute
  • A free estimate on a sewer replacement or a water line replacement
  • The 5-year warranty on whole-house repipes, whole-house gas repipes, sewer replacements, and water service replacements, for all labor and material
  • A ballpark by phone whenever you ask, and one clear number before work starts

We make the problem the problem, not the price.

How we price

Can you give me a price over the phone?

Yes, a rough one. A price over the phone is a ballpark.

The real number comes after we've seen the job, and you have it before any work starts.

Simple service is billed by the hour. Big jobs are priced per job, with a free estimate.

Free estimates on big plumbing jobs

On a water repipe, a reroute, a sewer replacement, or a water line replacement, we come out, size up the job, and price it at no charge.

What a free estimate covers, and what it doesn't
  • The look. We see the job in person: where the pipe runs, how much of it has failed, and what's in the way.
  • The price. One number for the whole job, before work starts, so no clock runs while we work.
  • Your call. You decide with the number in front of you.
  • Which jobs. Water repipes and reroutes, sewer replacements, and water line replacements and reroutes.
  • What isn't free. A repair or a clog is simple service, billed by the hour.
  • A smaller job than you thought. If the look shows a repair will do, you hear that instead, and the repair is billed by the hour.
  • The cause still comes first. Even on a big job, we confirm it's the job you need before we price it.

The 5-year plumbing warranty

Four jobs come with a 5-year warranty that covers all labor and material: whole-house repipes, whole-house gas repipes, sewer replacements, and water service replacements. A partial repipe or a reroute isn't one of them, and a whole-house repipe includes the drains.

What each covered job is, and what "all labor and material" means

The warranty belongs to the job, so here's what each one is.

  • Whole-house repipe. The home's old piping replaced throughout, not one section.
  • Whole-house gas repipe. The gas piping inside the home replaced throughout.
  • Sewer replacement. A new sewer line from the house out to the main.
  • Water service replacement. A new water line from the meter to the house.

All labor and material means both the pipe we put in and the work of putting it in. It covers those four jobs, not every job we do. A warranty on material alone would leave you paying for the work a second time. Keep the invoice from the job. If a problem comes up with that work during the five years, call us at (501) 313-9920. Each job has its own page: repiping, sewer line, and water line.

How to keep plumbing costs down

Most big plumbing bills start as small problems left alone. Catch them early, and ask what caused one before you pay to fix it.

Habits that keep repair bills small
  • Fix drips and running toilets early. A small leak wastes water every hour it runs and can damage what's under it.
  • Know your main shut-off. Find it before you need it, so a burst pipe does less damage.
  • Go easy on chemical drain cleaners. Repeated use can harm older pipes, and it rarely clears the real blockage.
  • Wrap exposed pipes ahead of a hard freeze. Foam sleeves cost little next to a split pipe.
  • Watch what goes down the drain. Grease, wipes, and food scraps are common causes of clogs.
  • Ask for the cause. Paying for a fix without knowing why it failed is how people pay twice.
  • Get the number first. Ask for a ballpark by phone, and on a big job, take the free estimate before you decide.

Free estimate, warranty, and pricing questions

Do you give free estimates?

On big jobs, yes: a water repipe, a reroute, a sewer replacement, or a water line replacement or reroute. Smaller work, like a repair, is billed at the hourly rate.

Are your plumbing prices affordable?

Affordable starts with paying for the right fix, once. You can ask for a phone ballpark, you see the real number before work starts, and big jobs get a free estimate. Hourly billing on simple service means a small repair stays a small bill.

Does the 5-year warranty cover every job?

No. It covers four jobs, all labor and material: whole-house repipes, whole-house gas repipes, sewer replacements, and water service replacements.

Is there a trip charge when the job isn't a free estimate?

There's no set trip fee. The visit is billed at the hourly rate, starting with finding the cause.
